Joseph Smith Donohue, Jr., 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, Feb. 5th after a long illness.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Celeste V. Donohue; his daughter, Bronwyn and son, Joseph, III; six grandchildren; his brother and sister, Stephen and Kathleen Donohue; and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was born in Boston, son of the late, Joseph and Marjorie Donohue. He was raised in Philadelphia and later settled in Massachusetts.
Joseph was a Vietnam Veteran and a graduate of Stonehill College. Joe loved rooting for the Boston sports teams especially the Patriots. He also enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Some of his best times were spent on Egypt Beach in Scituate, Ma with his siblings and cousins. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Joseph's memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 10th from 2-4 p.m. at the Asa Waters Mansion, 123 Elm Street in Millbury.
